We stayed over the Civic holiday weekend. Our cottage was spotless. The King bed was extremely comfortable. The barbecue was also spotless. The view is stunning. Dry firewood and kindling were stacked near the fire pit. There are beautiful Muskoka chairs at the fire area, as well as on deck the water’s edge. The resort was at capacity, yet was peaceful and quiet…just cottage on the lake sounds. The onsite staff were amazing. Absolutely invisible until you need something and then very easy to find.We are rebooking for next year.
New management in 2025 is great. Been visiting this lodge for over 12 years and the new ownership has it feeling like it did years ago. Cabins are in much better shape than previous years, brand new docks and the grounds are kept neat and clean. Awesome place to spend time off and great fishing in the Westarm.
We absolutely fell in love with this place !! An absolute five star experience. The management made us feel like family and went above and beyond to make our stay so memorable. We can’t wait for our next visit !
We stayed here for a week in the Hickory cabin. Cabins were spotless...service was outstanding. The staff were absolutely more than accommodating..went out of their way to take care of us. Jason was an excellent host. Definitely be coming back
The West Arm Lodge is a beautiful property with amazing hosts. It is a perfect place to get away from the city, right on the water and in the midst of gorgeous natural surroundings. The cabins are very spacious and well equipped, very clean and the view on the water when you wake up is unbeatable. The hosts are very friendly and accommodating, really kind and positive!! They have boats available for fishing in the summer which is great for an activity amongst friends and family. Finally - the restaurant was also amazing!! We got some burgers and pizza and we were not disappointed! The pizzas are huge and so delicious, especially the sauce.. it has something special! I wish I could give more than 5 stars - it was such a great time!! Thank you Tammi Dave and everyone else at the West Arm Lodge for having us and making it an amazing experience.
Wow! What a weekend! Me, my husband and my 1.5 year old just got home after a lovely weekend at the West Arm Lodge. Cute little cabins equipped with all the necessities you need located right on the waterfront. We rented a boat for a minimal charge and had the time of our life. A lot of people were fishing on their docks or around the lake and I wish me and my family knew how to fish because it looked like so much fun! I believe that the owners are new but they are extremely friendly, knowledgeable and passionate about their lodge. Thanks for a great weekend with memories we will never forget! An annual family vacation? I think so!
We went as a group yesterday to celebrate my husbands birthday and to say goodbye to a small group of our campers who have become our good friends over the past 15 yrs. They have being coming here over the summer months and have raved about the food so we finally were able to come and are we ever happy we did. Tammy, her husband and son (the Chef) were amazing from start to finish. The view is amazing looking out onto the West Arm waterway, cottages, boats, docks all in great condition. I ordered the Chicken Parm & Frank ordered the 8oz burger with fries, so delicious. Huge portions, cooked to perfection and all made from scratch with fresh ingredients. Had a great time with our friends and didn’t want to leave, congratulations to the new owners you are doing an amazing job, keep up the great work you will do so well. If anyone eats here and isn’t happy with the food, then you don’t know what great food tastes like and should stick with MacDonald’s, it’s more than a 5 star meal. We will definitely be back next summer.
Just spent an amazing week at The West Arm Lodge and Restaurant. The property is absolutely beautiful and waking up each morning and looking out at the lake was breathtaking. The owners who took over almost a year ago are friendly, accommodating and came by regularly to make sure we had everything we needed and if there was anything they could do to make our stay more enjoyable. Our cottage was perfect, exceptionally clean, totally self-contained and come with everything you need for a getaway. They have canoes and a kayak you can borrow, a net where you can play volleyball or badminton, a basketball net, soccer ball, football or just sit lakeside and relax. We didn’t bring lunch and dinner food so we could order from the restaurant we’ve read so much about. The reviews did not disappoint, from the pizza, to the burgers and pastas everything was incredible. You can tell that Chef Matt puts a lot of love into his scratch-made creations. The new owners have done a lot since they took over a year ago. You see the care they have for the property and the guests and are always outside cleaning up and doing repairs. They come by daily to ensure that you are enjoying your stay or if you need anything. If you need something just ask, if they don’t have it they usually can get it for you. This is somewhere we’d totally recommend going to as a couple or with your family. Thank you for a great vacation.
